Do you provide the alcohol? No, you will need to apply for the special event licence and alcohol but we can assist you in alcohol estimation and securing a license. If you are hosting your event in a private setting you do not need a liquor license.
We don’t know what to buy from alcohol to garnishes and everything in between? Based on your vision of your event we will provide you with a basic shopping list that works with your bar menu from alcohol to the garnishes and the often forgotten items like straws, cocktail picks etc. We can also provide them as an add on to simplify.
How many bartenders do we need? Bartenders depend greatly on the number of guests and the cocktail menu.. If your event is less than 60 guests, a single bartender is all you need for a basic bar. A bar menu consisting of martini's, mojitos, shaken drinks etc. will requre more bartenders.
Are your bartenders certified? All bar tenders have the Serving it Right certification necessary to serve alcohol in B.C.
Do you provide the Bar? We currently do not have a bar but many local facilities do have a bar onsite. If you need to rent one we will gladly work with you and the All in One Party Shop locally in Campbell River as they have a few options.
Do you travel? Yes, rates vary based on distance and needs
Do you clean up after the event? We provide an “end of service” breakdown, clean up and organization. We do a full bar clean up, ie: pack up all left over alcohol clearly marked open or for return, recycling organized, glass ware organized for pick up, bar packed up etc. Take down of tables, chairs and decorations are not included. If you are looking to have this as an add on, please contact us for pricing.
How much ice do we buy? A beer and wine bar will just need ice for the ice bath to chill, but a few bags for non-alcohol drinks should be considered. If you are doing hard bar as well as beer and wine 1 ½ - 2 pounds ice per person. If shaker drinks such as martinis, sours, margaritas are being served we suggest 2 ½ pounds per person. During hot weather you may want to consider doubling your ice needs. We will be happy to relieve you of that hassle and you can use our ice service add on.
Are gratuities included? Host bar gratuities are at the discretion of the host and are not included in the pricing, unless directed by the host. At your discretion, the service standard gratuity is $1.00 per guest or 10-20%. Tip jars are placed on cash/ticket bars.
Do you provide a cash bar? We can provide a cash bar with drink prices based on your event license. For larger events we suggest a ticket bar which can allow your bartender to run a faster more efficient bar. As part of our service we sell the tickets for you. You can either provide the tickets or purchase a roll from us. As a host you will decide on the costs per drink/ticket as per the special event license. We are not equipped to accept any type of debit or credit card and all sales will be cash only. We will provide the float and all money from liquor sales will be given to you by the end of service, or as arranged.
Do you serve minors? Absolutely not! We will ask for I.D. if we feel guests are under age, so please do not ask us to serve minors. We can lose our license and it is the law. We will also politely and quietly refrain from over serving your guests. We are trained in ways to diffuse the situation without incident but should one arise we will ask you to please talk to your guest.
How do we pay? A $100.00 deposit is required at the time of booking and is nonrefundable for cancelations with less than one month notice. There is a non refundable fee of $50.00 for all cancelations at any point after a contract has been signed. Contracts will be signed for each event. All events need to be paid for in full prior to the event. Debit and credit cards will be processed as Balloons 'N' More Party Shop. Credit cards will have an additional fee of 2% of the total costs added to the pricing. Any add on hours or last minute add ons will be agreed upon at the time of the event and payment is due within 48 hours after the event.
